I’m always rushing from one thing to the other I’m still alone waiting for something some kind of change that could change everything being patient is being alone come over, am I giving you the bad impression? come over, am I giving you the bad vibration? (people are always booking it in the other direction) (it’s the feeling that you get when you hear someone calling your name then you turn around, double take, and realize it was a mistake) come over, leave before I give you the bad depression come over, leave before I give you the bad vibration

Swell 03:48
Family trust: aching just to get your cut Break the bank and drain the supply from its source Swell, swell; silver lining is all that you get Bland mistrust: I might have let it fester and let resentment get the best of us Swell, swell; silver lining is all that you get Swell, swell; watch as these words shy over your head Watch the child secure their seat Take their time– I’ll take my leave In time they’ll see The taste of generosity Made you steal a life for free In time they’ll see

How is slow death any different from a long life filled with regret? I spent August watching drama turn to horror with you by the time you left I was states away in war shows burnt up September binging scenes of beach invasions casualties rose as armies clashed and I craned my neck just to see if I could feel something in my chest... Dismemberment eye for an eye and you can’t slur it Dismemberment can’t come clean if it don’t exist and you said “wash that blood off your hands” can’t you see that I don’t understand? and you said “wash that blood off your hands can’t you see that it’s done to death?” How is slow death any different from a long life lived on the edge of the knife? that’s that no passing GO! no collecting 200 advance cause you’ll discover that you ground your teeth as you slept and where does that intention leave me in December? and the feeling again it never ends cause the arguments were cursory– fell flat... Dismemberment eye for an eye and you can’t slur it Dismemberment can’t come clean if it don’t exist and you said “wash that blood off your hands can’t you see that it’s all in your head?”

Kata 05:24
Slept through these meditations still I can’t sleep at night burned out on inspiration, bent to spite caught up in the rewind caught up I can’t get it right Centered on the best of what you could be take a hint cause no one’s sticking around to see if your last effort will make the cut Called out to higher powers: are you out of your mind? the wick has burned completely, cannot make fire kata, he said “dream it in the night” kata, “I can’t get it right” Take a mental picture of who I’m supposed to be I think my senses got it out for me everyone is laughing at my form running through the foliage of eras past take the bait but I can’t make those feelings last greeting folly for the face of an old friend the same mistake again prone to distraction supine drills won’t take– why can’t I relax???

If I successfully kept a notebook froze those times what we had would have looked worse on paper than in real life much ado about that; we endured through the fall Storm of the century crashed last year’s weekends well through March so we burrowed in the basement in pillow forts keeping warm littered with takeout, teacups, and proposed bedtimes unobserved when we sat in bitter silence proved your will was a force to be reckoned with now I dread every text; quiet brace for each call Much ado about that; I’ll hold my breath for my Love if I can’t keep that demand and who on Earth can? Bag it all if your personal hell is a complex filled with crumbling stories worth of your past earthly transgressions blurring then some floors on fire for the feelings I can’t inspire I know I’m a liar for ulterior ends can’t deny some floors on fire for guilt that never quite seems to subside I know I’m a pyre, torch all too familiar reams of my life some floors on fire for the feelings I can’t inspire
